The Role

The VicTrack People & Culture team is growing, we are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to provide expert advisory support across end-to-end people matters, with a strong focus on employee relations, and supporting culture change and capability uplift programs.

As a key member of the P&C team, you will partner closely with leaders to deliver high-quality, timely and practical people solutions, while managing complex and sensitive workforce issues. You will play a critical role in supporting performance outcomes, leading escalations, and building leadership capability across the business.
In addition, you will act as a trusted escalation point for challenging ER/IR matters, working closely with stakeholders, including unions, to ensure fair, compliant and effective outcomes while strengthening relationships and driving a high performing, accountable culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders on all people-related matters, including performance management, conduct, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex ER/IR issues, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and employee disputes.
  • Manage and contain escalations, ensuring risks are mitigated and outcomes are fair, compliant, and commercially sound.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including union representatives, acting as a primary interface where required.
  • Lead and support business leaders through change management and organisational design activities, supporting by the Employee Capability team of specialists
  • Deliver and embed cyclical P&C programs such as performance reviews, workforce planning, and remuneration processes.
  • Utilise HR data and insights to identify trends, inform decision-making, and proactively improve workforce outcomes.
  • Partner with internal P&C specialists to support leaders to uplift capability, educate managers and stakeholders on effective people management practices, and deliver targeted change initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of P&C processes, policies, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, Commerce, or equivalent (mandatory).

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations, particularly within complex environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of industrial relations legislation as it relates to enterprise agreements and managing performance, complaints, grievances, and terminations.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business to support people outcomes.
  • High-level analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and report on P&C metrics within a HRIS to inform business decisions.
  • Proven ability to deliver programs and facilitate information to groups while managing conflicting deadlines and expectations.
  • Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation, reports, and relevant correspondence.
